Get ready to hear the roar and join your local Lions Club this 4 March in commemoration of the Lions Awareness Day across North Shore and Northern Beaches.

Balgowlah, Chatswood, Frenchs Forest, Manly, and St Ives clubs will be hosting various events to celebrate and encourage residents to find out more about the clubs and how to get involved.

Since the first club was formed in Australia 75 years ago, Lions has been operating in these areas for over fifty years helping the people in need in their communities.

With over 1300 clubs and 25,000 members now giving back through an array of community-based programs and initiatives, including youth programs, medical research, drug awareness, hearing services, and environmental programs.

Lions’ volunteers pay annual membership fees to cover admin costs and all the funds donated goes directly towards the cause. Last year, the five local Lions Clubs raised almost $200,000.
