Detectives attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command have been investigating the assault about 5.45pm on 27 February 2024 of a 59-year-old man at a unit complex on Pittwater Road, Manly.
The man was treated at the scene for serious head injuries by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
Detectives – who formed Strike Force Flat to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident – have been advised the man died on 15 March.
As inquiries continue, detectives are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time or have information regarding the incident.
