Following a sold-out 2025 season, Lewis Carroll’s absurd and wickedly clever classic Alice in Wonderland returns to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney from 4 to 19 April.
Join Alice as she encounters a delightfully eccentric cast of characters – the skittish, perpetually late White Rabbit; the Dodo and his sing-along bird friends; the pepper-obsessed Duchess and her chaotic cook; the mischievous Cheshire Cat who will inspire you to grin; and Humpty Dumpty on his way to meet Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Of course, no trip to Wonderland would be complete without the Mad Hatter, March Hare and Dormouse hosting their famously silly tea party.
Perfect for children aged 4 and up, Alice in Wonderland is a playful, imaginative and unforgettable theatre experience for the whole family. It is performed by The Australian Shakespeare Company, who brought us the gorgeous Wind in the Willows at the Botanic Gardens in the summer. Alice is set in the Pioneer Garden, overlooking Sydney Harbour.
Bursting with colour, physical comedy, music and audience interaction, Alice in Wonderland transforms one of Sydney’s most beautiful outdoor spaces into a magical playground of storytelling.
