Swimmers and community members of all abilities are invited to join in the Ocean Rockpool Tour this Sunday 29 March to raise much-needed funds for Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli (Lifeline NB).
During the day, swimmers choose their own pace as they swim laps in as many of the 14 iconic rockpools scattered along the Northern Beaches coastline as they like. The flexible format allows individuals or teams to choose distances based on comfort, fitness, and personal challenge. Participants need to register, with proceeds going to Lifeline NB to fund vital crisis support services, low-cost counselling, and suicide prevention.
A Local Champs Race will be held on the day at South Curl Curl, and will see politicians including Mayor Sue Heins, Pittwater MP Jacqui Scruby and Wakehurst MP Michael Regan compete in a kickboard race. Paralympic swimmer Declan Budd and Big Wave Challenge Ride of the Year winner Tommy Myers will also take part.
“By bringing people together through movement and nature, we celebrate the beauty of our coastline while supporting the vital work of Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli,” Sarah Grattan, CEO of Lifeline NB, said. “Every lap contributes to strengthening community connection and helping ensure support is there when it’s needed most.”
