Friendly people with good-natured pets are encouraged to volunteer with HammondCare. In the role, volunteers and their pets will visit elderly clients who live in their own homes on the Northern Beaches.
During the weekly or fortnightly social visits, volunteers and their elderly clients might take a walk with the pet, or have a sit, chat and pat of the pet.
Volunteers will help provide companionship as part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme.
HammondCare is an approved provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), funded by the Australian Government.
