Do you have a caring and friendly nature and a genuine interest in learning about people and their backgrounds? Anglicare is looking for volunteers to visit seniors for companionship.
Having good communication skills is essential, as is being an active listener. Flexibility and reliability are also vital as the volunteer will need to maintain a regular commitment to someone.
Volunteers meet with the older person for up to an hour, either weekly or fortnightly.
Relevant training is provided, and a police check is required.
