StreetWork | Dee Why and Manly

Young people arrested on suspicion of criminal activity who don’t have a responsible person with them often find the situation stressful and frightening.

If you like helping young vulnerable people, StreetWork are looking for police advocates to provide 24-hour support to young people during police interviews.

As a police advocate, you can help these vulnerable youths feel safe and comfortable and ensure they are treated fairly and can access legal support.

Volunteers cover evening and weekend shifts. No specialised skills are required, as training is provided, but A Working with Children Check will be needed.

To apply email volunteer@streetwork.org.au and provide details of your time availability, skills and experience.
