Don your whites and get multi-coloured for NSW Youth Week. The North Sydney community is invited to join a free vibrant colour run at Colour Fest 2025 on Saturday 12 April from 1pm to 5pm at St Leonards Park.

Enjoy live music, food and refreshments, and fun activities with local youth services before running or walking the unique colour run obstacle course – including a tyre pit, walk the plank and labyrinth – while being dusted with Holi colour powder.

Mayor Zoë Baker says: “Youth Week is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate young people’s contributions to the North Sydney community. In recent years, we’ve seen them take action for our climate and environment, build connections with older generations, and use their voices to speak up for what matters to them.

“Events like Colour Fest help foster a connected and inclusive community – bringing young people and the wider community together, to celebrate and have fun.”

This is the third year North Sydney Council has held the family-friendly, all-ages event, which has drawn crowds of more than 700 in the past.

For the first time, teams of up to four people are also invited to compete in a Colour Run Relay Championship, tackling activities like potato sack and egg and spoon races, and a ring toss. Medals and prizes will be on offer for the winning teams.

DJ Duo Akimbo and young local bands Callow and Retail Therapy will rock the stage and keep the fun going through the day. The Colour Run Relay Championships will run from 1.45pm, followed by the free-for-all colour run at 3pm. Colour runners can capture their post-run colourful looks with a selfie at the Colour Run Fashion Wall.
