Nominations close soon for the 2026 NSW Women of the Year Awards, a chance to recognise the extraordinary women and girls who make a difference in our communities. These annual Awards shine a spotlight on leadership, service, resilience and achievement across NSW. The recipients of the awards will be announced at the NSW Women of the Year Awards ceremony on Thursday 5 March as part of NSW Women’s Week 2026.
The awards span multiple categories, including the NSW Premier’s Woman of Excellence, NSW Community Hero, NSW Young Woman of the Year, NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year, and NSW Regional Woman of the Year.
Alongside these categories, the Ones-to-Watch program highlights inspiring young girls aged 7–15 who demonstrate courage, determination and kindness in supporting those around them. Further, the sperate Local Women of the Year Awards (LWOTY) program will also run alongside the Awards. This annual program provides MPs with the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contributions of a local woman in their electorate.
“These Awards are not only about individual achievement, but also about telling the stories that inspire others and strengthen our state,” said Tim James, Willoughby MP.
Nominations close Tuesday 9 September 2025 at 11:59pm. For more information, see the awards’ website.
