Officers from the Northern Beaches Area Command responded two days in a row a fast-food restaurant in Brookvale, following the reports of two alleged assaults.

The first inicent took place at about 10.15pm on 5 October, officers attended a fast-food restaurant on Mitchell Road, Brookvale, following reports of an assault.

After the inquiries, police detained a 40-year-old man. Later, the arrest was discontinued, and the man was charged by Future Service CAN with assault.

The man will appear before Manly Local Court on a date to be confirmed. Police will allege in Court the man was intoxicated and was behaving in a disorderly manner inside the restaurant and spat on a staff member and punched an 18-year-old staff member in the face.

The second incident ocurred the following day at about 9.40pm at the same location.

Officers found a 30-year-old man had allegedly been assaulted by a group of about eight young males.

The man was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before taken to Royal north Shore hospital with lacerations to the head.

Police have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
