Do you have a chair with a wonky leg or a toaster that refuses to toast? Or maybe one of the seams in your favourite trousers has torn. Enter the Fixery!

The Fixery is your go-to destination for having your favourite items repaired, and it’s back by popular demand on 2 August at the Cromer Community Centre.

The volunteers will do their best to fix anything you can carry in – free of charge! The Fixery is operated by The Sydney Library of Things and supported by Northern Beaches Council.
The Fixery can repair small pieces of furniture, such as chairs. Bring toys, shoes, toasters, lamps, coffee machines, blenders, and they’ll mend tears, elastic or hems in clothing and even fix costume jewellery. Bring any special parts needed with you – or the volunteers might also be able to advise you where to buy it, and you can book in for the next Fixery.

All items must be clean. They don’t sharpen saws or serrated knives or weld.

And don’t bring your boxers or socks – they don’t repair underwear. Nor so they fix bicycles, electronics or watches.

Timeslots book out quickly, but they have a waitlist in case anyone cancels.

The Fixery is running from 10.30am to 1pm on Saturday, 2 August at Cromer Community Centre at 150 Fisher Road North in Cromer. Book your spot here.
