A new pop-up café opened in the courtyard of the Darley Smith Building, at 1 Darley Road in Manly on Wednesday 28 February.
The Big Happy Café is an initiative of Head High disability Service and is about developing skills for employment and networking with local business people.
Head High clients can also learn through virtual and face to face capacity building programs, other initiatives like the profession skill share, hosting large scale events and other business collaboration opportunities.
It is all about empowering young people with a disability to believe in themselves and aims to raise awareness about inclusion throughout the community.
The new café, which was named The Big Happy Café via a community poll, is open for 12 Wednesdays and the Manly Head Highers have been working hard baking and taste testing.
Visit the café for a selection fresh and delicious food, including gluten free sweet treats from Dan’s Bakehouse, a new Head Higher small business.
They need your custom to be able to keep this valuable learning opportunity running!
