Pittwater MP and senior NSW minister Rob Stokes has confirmed he will step down from politics after serving more than 15 years to the state.
It is understood Mr Stokes announced his decision on Friday 30 September, confirming he will resign at the next state election in March 2023.
Mr Stokes expressed his gratitude to the people of Pittwater as well as the Liberal Party for the privilege he had serving the Northern Beaches community and is excited to support the next candidate and new voice of Pittwater.
Mr Stokes said he will continue to use his energy to support the Liberals and Nationals team in advocating the return of the Perrottet-Toole government in 2023.
Mr Stokes has been a popular local MP on the Northern Beaches, who will be missed by his electorate and members of the community.
