The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize, Australia’s highest valued art prize for women, is open for entries for the 2026 prize, offering a total of $58,000 in prize money.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, the Prize has become a major event on the national arts calendar, proudly supporting and celebrating the creative talents of Australian women from across Australia.
The acquisitive Prize is open to women artists aged 18 years and over who have resided in Australia during the 12 months preceding the closing date for entries.
The Prize accepts all artistic mediums in three prize categories: Professional Artist Prize – $35,000; Emerging Artist Prize – $7500 (supported by The Reed Family Foundation) and Indigenous Emerging Artist Prize – $7500 (supported by The Scarborough and Guardian Foundation).
Additional awards include the People’s Choice Award of $2000 (supported by Edwina Palmer) and a Derivan art pack valued at $500 and six Highly Commended Awards (two for each category) of $1,000 each (supported by Community Bank Lindfield).
Entries close on 11 February 2026, with finalists to be announced on 1 April. Opening Night will be held at Ravenswood School for Girls on 15 May. The Exhibition of Finalists is free for the community to view either virtually via ravenswoodartprize.com.au or in person at Ravenswood School for Girls in Gordon on Thursdays to Sundays from 16 to 31 May 2026.
