Mosman Council is inviting community members to participate in a survey to develop the Mosman LGA Flood Study. The survey will close on 2 February.
The NSW government has outlined the Flood Risk Management Manual process, dated June 2023. The council has hired Manly Hydraulics Laboratory to model based on numerical data and best practices.
The result will be a draft flood study available for public comment. This will identify flood-affected properties and infrastructure.
Further study stages will analyse ways to reduce the risk of flooding and plan for potential mitigation options.
The council is also seeking Expressions of Interest from community members interested in joining its Flood Management Community Consultative Committee.
