Nominations have now closed for the 2023 NSW women of the year awards with winners due to be announced on 9 March 2023 as part of the NSW women’s week.
In a search to find the most outstanding and influential women across the North Shore and NSW, winners will be chosen from six categories including, women of excellence; aboriginal woman of the year; young woman of the year; community hero of the year; regional woman of the year and one to watch.
It is understood, the one to watch category recognises girls aged from seven to 17, who have supported others through acts of courage, strength, determination and kindness.
Member for Willoughby Tim James said the annual awards play an important role in recognising inspirational women from diverse backgrounds across not only Willoughby but the state.
“These awards are a wonderful opportunity to honour the women and girls who are making a real difference to our community,” Mr James said.
