A teenage male has been arrested after allegedly attempting to steal from a supermarket on the Northern Beaches.
About 7:30pm on 23 June 2024, officers attached to Northern Beaches Local Area Command attended a supermarket on Jacksons Road, Warriewood, following reports of an alleged attempted stealing.
Upon arrival a teenager, aged 16 was arrested and conveyed to Manly Police Station where he was charged with enter enclosed land without lawful excuse and custody of knife in public place – first offence.
Two other teenagers reportedly fled the shopping center before the 16-year-old boy was taken into police custody.
He was granted condition bail to appear before Surry Hills Children’s Court on 6 August 2024.
