In response to concerned residents seeing electrical works being undertaken near North Narrabeen Pool and Pathway, Cr Vincent De Luca OAM, Independent for the Northern Beaches consulted the Council regarding the safety of the area.
Mr De Luca said Northern Beaches Council Manager of Property, David Pengilly responded that the works were done by an authorised ASP (Accredited Service Provider) and in compliance with the NSW Service Rules and AS3000.
The electrical repairs were carried out in Christmas 2022 due to a major underground cable failure on the main supply cable to the North Narrabeen Swim Club & Rock Pool Amenities.
On 3 January, one of the service wires became detached from the middle pole and an additional fall of wires was investigated on Thursday 5 January, founding them intact and attached to their corresponding poles.
Mr De Luca published the response on his Facebook page, where Council confirmed will further review the ongoing electrical connection arrangement to the Swim Club building.
