John Lepouris was welcomed to North Sydney Council by Mayor Zoe Baker at his first meeting on Monday 27 February 2023.
Cr Lepouris’ family attended Council to see him take his official affirmation of office as a Councillor.
Following the resignation of councillor Alanya Drummond, John Lepouris has been elected to North Sydney Council as the new councillor for St Leonards Ward after a count-back election on 21 February.
Mr Lepouris has spent most of his life on the lower North Shore. Owner of Against the Grind, a popular café in Neutral Bay, he wants to improve the Neutral Bay Village, making the area a priority for the enhancement of community assets, especially, local playgrounds that are fundamental for the local families living in apartments.
North Sydney councillor Alanya Drummond resigned in January 2023, after five years of service.
