Mosman’s Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year were announced at Mosman’s Australia Day event.
Mosman Symphony Orchestra’s musical director Andrew Del Riccio received the award Mosman’s 2023 Citizen of the Year, and Mosman Youth Centre volunteer Marina Viese Vivaldi received the Young Citizen of the Year recognition.
Andrew was awarded for his commitment and 25-year leadership, under which the community-based Mosman Symphony Orchestra has established a strong audience.
Marina, who moved to Mosman from Brazil, is passionate about the local community and environment, volunteering with Council’s Mosman Youth groups such as Vocal Rewind and Green Thumbs as well as working on a range of youth events and activities.
The announcement followed a citizenship ceremony welcoming 98 new citizens from 39 countries officiated by Mosman Councillor Michael Randall, joined by Member for Warringah Zali Steggall, Mosman Councillors, and Australia Day Ambassador, former NSW cricketer Kath Koschel.
