The Festival of Mosman is back! Not held since 2019 due to COVID-19, there’s something for all the family, even pets as the area bursts into life with food, wine, music and art. North Shore Living has put together a few festival highlights to whet your appetite.
This year’s festival kicks off with a free Opening Concert, 11am to 5pm, 20 October on Balmoral Reserve, The Esplanade. The Royal Australian Navy Band, Sea State Seven, will perform a variety of classic oldies and new hits, along with local school groups.
For the wine buffs, the Hunter Valley Uncorked Balmoral event is back on 22 October on Balmoral Reserve. Sample some of the best wines of the Hunter Valley while listening to live music by Soul Shack.
One of Mosman’s favourites, Fourth Village Providore, will be serving a delicious three course Italian meal served on ‘a tavola lungo’ (the long table) on the Green on 22 October at 6.30pm.
Experience Italian outdoor dining in an intimate setting under the stars, while being serenaded by Ben and Cheryl Oxley with a range of Italian songs. It costs $90 per person for dinner and non-alcoholic beverages. BYO wine and beer permitted.
Seniors can dig out their blue swede shoes and head to the Mosman Art Gallery for a special Elvis in Vegas Seniors Dance Party, from 4pm
to 6pm on 24 October. Dance the afternoon away to all the Elvis favourites, while enjoying canapes and drinks, for $18 per person.
OctoberFeast Night Market on 26 October will see Mosman Square and Village Green come to life after dark with twinkling lights, live music and family entertainment. From 4.30pm to 9pm, delicious food, artisan beer and wine will feed the soul while you enjoy live entertainment from Dom Diaz, The Sauerkrauts, and St Raphaels German Folk Dancing Group.
A fun morning out for the under fives is guaranteed at the Children’s Fair on Mosman Village Green from 10am to midday on Friday 27 October with performers, amusement rides, arts and crafts, interactive animal displays and more.

Celebrate First Nations culture on Balmoral Reserve from 4pm to 8.30pm on 17 October. This special free event will be led by performer and educator Walangari Karntawarra with a smoking ceremony, cultural workshops, boomerang painting and delicious bushtucker available for purchase.
Bring your fur-babies to a special Pets Day Out on Sunday 29 October, 10am to 2pm, on Mosman Square and Village Green. Featuring special doggie entertainment such as The Mutley Crew and Dancing Dogs R Us.
Other fun events include embroidery display, kayak tour, stand-up paddleboarding, public art tour, seaside scavenge and sustainability fair, oyster master class and the chance to try bowling or croquet.
