The recent drainage works conducted at Park Street and Pittwater Road, Mona Vale have made the current drainage system more efficient, providing a more effective barrier against stormwater flows escaping the gutter on Park Street.

The stormwater upgrade will also help to improve traffic safety by reducing water flow across Pittwater Road between Keenan and Bungan Streets, along with the roundabout at the junction of Park Street and Pittwater Road.

Additionally, the streetscape at Park Street has been enhanced with seating and attractive planter boxes.

Some of the improvements made include a new drainage system in Pittwater Road from Akuna Lane to the front of Mona Vale Anglican Church; planter boxes with seating and a grated drain opposite Mona Vale Medical Centre; two parallel parking spaces opposite Mona Vale Medical Centre; and a new footpath between the new parking spaces.

Additionally, new trees were planted to replace the ones removed from outside Mona Vale Anglican Church, which was impacting the drainage system.
