Come along on 13 May to meet your local firefighters at the Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Open Day. Northern Beaches fire stations and across NSW, will be opening their doors between 10:00am and 2:00pm to showcase FRNSW’s broad capabilities.
During this event, you and your family will be able to participate in a range of free activities. You will be able to witness firefighting demonstrations, go on station tours and listen to safety presentations. Additionally, you will be able to check out fire trucks, learn about firefighting equipment and chat with local firefighters about the critical work they do to keep communities safe.
During the event, firefighters may have to respond to incidents, or visitors might be prevented to access staff only areas and sit on the trucks. Also, some fire stations may be attending an emergency and might be closed or participating at a neighboring fire station.
This is a great chance to not only have some fun and learn about fire safety but also to get to know the hardworking firefighters who protect your community.
For more information, please contact your local fire station.
