In an exciting development for Sunrise fans, Mosman local Matt Shirvington will join Natalie Barr as a co-host on the popular morning TV show.
Channel 7 made the much-anticipated announcement, revealing that Shirvington will be taking over the news desk seat previously occupied by David Koch, who stepped down after an impressive 21-year tenure.
Shirvington, as featured in our North Shore Living and Peninsula Living magazines in May, is no stranger to Australian television, having established himself as a familiar face since joining Channel 7 in 2020 as a sports presenter for 7NEWS.
While at Seven, Shirvington also gained experience as a fill-in presenter for Sunrise and The Morning Show and showcased his hosting skills by fronting Seven’s thrilling mini-golf game show, Holey Moley, in 2021.
With his dynamic personality and extensive television background, Shirvington is poised to inject a fresh perspective and engaging presence into Sunrise, captivating audiences nationwide.
