A 39-year-old man was arrested at Chatswood Railway Station yesterday and has been charged with 25 break and enter offences, including one alleged break-in at Seaforth.
In August, officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command commenced an investigation under Strike Force Maxwood into multiple break and enter offences at residences and businesses, including one alleged break-in in Seaforth.
Police allege between Monday 18 August and Monday 8 September, a man allegedly broke into 24 residences, vehicles, and businesses across the Kuring-Gai, Ryde, and The Hills Police Area Commands, and stole property and cash registers.
Further inquiries also revealed the man allegedly broke into an address on the Pacific Highway, Roseville, where a blue sedan was stolen.
On Monday 8 September 2025, officers executed a search warrant at an address on Brown Street, Penrith, where they located and seized items linked to the alleged break and enters, however no one was located at the address.
Following extensive inquiries, police arrested a 39-year-old man at Chatswood Railway Station on 9 September.
He was taken Royal North Shore Hospital for further assessment under police guard.
About 7.40pm on 9 September, he was released from the hospital and taken to The Hills Police Station where he was charged with 25 offences.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on 10 September.
