A 55-year-old man accused of allegedly filming a child in a store in the Northern Beaches has been asked to be back in Manly court on 27 August.
The man, a French Forest local, was allegedly seen filming up the skirt of a 12-year-old girl at a Warriewood department store using a video camera attached to his shoe.
Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command were arrested at the shopping at about 2pm on 22 July after concerns were raised about the man allegedly filming the child.
He was taken to Manly Police Station, where he was charged with 16 counts of filming persons private parts of alleged victims at Chatswood and Warriewood and with possessing prohibited weapons.
The man appeared in Manly Local Court on 23 July and was released on strict conditional bail, which included a ban on entering any shopping centre, places where children may be, must not have any device that may be used for filming apart from one mobile phone and one laptop or tablet and must report daily to Dee Why Police Station, among other restrictions.
He has been scheduled to be back in court on 27 August.
