Bayview Bei Loon Dragonboat Club achieved great success at the recent Australian Championships, held at Gateway Lakes, Albury/Wodonga by claiming five medals of the Senior B events.

The team of 37 paddlers competed in 10 events, getting two golds and three silvers for their team and claimed honours in the State v State event, where they have 5 of their paddlers in the NSW State team.

Dragon Boat racing is a rapidly emerging inclusive Australian and International competitive sport for people of all ages, involving up to 20 paddlers in a boat, accompanied by a sweep. There is also a drummer when racing.

Bei Loon launches from Rowland Reserve in Bayview at the Norther Beaches up to four times per week in Summer and three times per week in Winter.
