VIVID KIDS AT TUMBALONG PARK
Those with children will be able to enjoy Vivid’s kids’ entertainment at Tumbalong Park. The diverse array of performances includes Pasifix, a musical celebration of the many Pacific Islander cultures that call Australia home; ARIA-nominated, environmentally conscious kids’ supergroup Vegetable Plot; and the interactive storytelling of Whilst and Trick.

VIVID LIGHT DISPLAYS – SYDNEY
The highlight of every Vivid are the light displays across the Sydney CBD. From art installations on the historic colonial buildings in the Rocks, to the iconic projections that adorn the sails of the Opera House, take a stroll across the CBD and soak in the various displays.

VIVID FIRE KITCHEN
A celebration of all that is fire and brimstone, this lineup of performers and cooks will be giving demonstrations across the duration of Vivid. With a theme of ‘Fire and Spice,’ this year will feature food that ‘celebrates the world’s most vibrant, spice-driven cuisines alongside flame-seared favourites.’ The free event allows visitors to wander the goods line and follow their nose and eyes.

TUMBALONG NIGHTS
While the Opera House and other venues are offering must-see shows and musicians, nothing quite beats the joy of free music. Tumbalong Nights, which will be running every night during Vivid, invites visitors to attend a wide variety of gigs.
Explore a line-up of global, local and emerging talent. Enjoy R’n’B singers Ardian Eagle, and dance to up-and-coming pop stars like Aeysha Madon.

BETH GIBBONS – OPERA HOUSE
If you’re happy to splash the cash and enjoy live music, the Sydney Opera House and Vivid are once again offering a great selection of local and international acts. Our pick is British singer-songwriter Beth Gibbons. Lead singer of the alternative band Portishead, known for their hit Glory Box, Beth will bring the music of her acclaimed debut album, Lives Outgrown, to Vivid.

Other Vivid Live highlights include American singer-songwriter Japanese Breakfast and Icelandic rock experimentalists Sigur Ros, playing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Transport
Public transport is a great choice if you’re heading into Vivid from the North Shore and the Northern Beaches.
The Metro from Chatswood, ferries to Circular Quay from Milsons Point Wharf and Kirribilli Wharf, and buses will all drop you within walking distance of many of Vivid’s attractions, without having to find parking in the city.
