The Mini-Mos Fun Run and Fair is back on 18 June for a day full of excitement, races and fun for the whole family.

Get your running shoes ready for the Mini-Mos Community Fun Run and Fair, an event that has brought together the community for 41 years.

Mini-Mos is dedicated to raising funds for Mosman Public School (MPS) and the Be Centre Foundation, a charity that uses play therapy to help children with counselling in Warriewood.

All the money raised by registrations, t-shirt sales, sponsors, and the fair goes directly to helping the school fund additional teaching resources, new technology and ground improvements.

The event features a variety of courses throughout Mosman, with options for children and adults alike, including 2km, 5km, and 10km races. The Mini-Mos Fair will be held on the grounds of the school.

Participants can register individually to strive for personal best or in a parent and child team, combining the 5km times according to age groups. Winners of all races will receive a commemorative medal and a place-getter prize. There are cash prizes in the 10km event, with $1,500 for first place, and a premium for a course record time of less than 30 minutes for men and 34 minutes for women.

Race ambassadors this year include triathlete Owain Matthews, distance runner Ed Goddard and Sydney Roosters star and Mosman local Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who also took part in his first Mini-Mos last year.

The 2km

Open to all children under 13, this division is divided into two groups: children running on their own or with an adult –including a child in a stroller.

The 5km

This race is open to all participants over eight and has two categories: Open, divided by age groups, and child and parent teams.

The 10km

This is the Mini-Mos premier event for all participants over 10 years. In 2019, Olympian Liam Adams set the 10km Mini-Mos record with a time of 29:58. Elite athletes have the option for a preferred start time, allocated to the first 25 men with a verifiable 10km time of 36 minutes or less, and the first 25 women with a verifiable 10km time of 40 minutes or less.

From pre-schoolers to adults, amateurs to elite athletes, the Mini-Mos offers an opportunity to participate in a community event while supporting a good cause.
