Northern Beaches Council is calling on all local businesses who wish to support the It Takes a Village program.
It Takes a Village program aims to foster stronger bonds between local residents and encourage them to get more involved in their community. One of the main ways to achieve this is by hosting a Meet Your Neighbour party, small-scale events held in front yards, local parks, or larger events with approved street closures in eligible streets across the Northern Beaches.
Businesses can support local Meet Your Neighbour parties by providing products or services to help organisers build social connections, up to $500 per party. Support may include food products, non-alcoholic beverages and non-plastic picnicware.
Hosting neighbourhood parties can help build strong communities and contribute to the improved wellbeing of all community members.
