Northern Beaches Council has a revised policy on how to minimize the negative impact of poker machines and online gaming within the community, and your feedback would be appreciated.
The Gambling and Poker Machine Harm Minimisation Policy was initially adopted by Council in September 2018. However, over the last five years, there have been changes in state legislation and the forms of online gaming now available.
Therefore, the Council’s own policy needs to be reviewed and updated. Northern Beaches Council strive to educate the community about the services available to support people with a gambling problem and to reduce the risk of harm in the community.

Webinars and workshops are currently held in partnership with local service providers, with information available on the council’s website.
