In a proposal to ease congestion local candidate James Mullan has announced the Greens will advocate for an inter North Shore Ferry service including the return of the Balmoral Beach Ferry Service.
Currently, four ferry routes services covering the of the lower North Shore; the F5 stopping at Kirribilli, North Sydney, Neutral Bay and Kurraba Point. The other being the F6 Mosman Bay, Old Cremorne, South Mosman and Cremorne Point. Also there is the F2 Taronga Zoo service as well as McMahons Point and Milsons Point which serve as stops along the F3 Parramatta River and F4 Cross Harbour routes.
The proposed new service would stop at McMahons Point, Milsons Point, Neutral Bay, Cremorne Point, Mosman Bay, Taronga Zoo, Balmoral Beach and potentially onto Manly.
The Greens made transport one of their top focuses for the March State Election advocating for cycleways on the Warringah Expressway, state funding for the West St bike lane project, and the de privatisation of the bus network.
