The district of Wakehurst has welcomed its new Greens state candidate, Ethan Hrnjak to the 2023 NSW state election.

Following the recent announcement from Northern Beaches Greens Convenor Evan Turner, it is understood Mr Hrnjak will be advocating for a number of issues that matter to Wakehurst.

Mr Hrnjak, who studies environmental law at Macquarie university plans to support better planning laws, more environmentally sound infrastructure and end privatisation of public services.

It is understood Mr Hrnjak is familiar to residents within the Wakehurst community following the federal election earlier this year and said he will continue to stay active within the Wakehurst community by asking residents to share their concerns.

“The Greens have a bold and comprehensive policy platform going into the upcoming state election,” Mr Hrnjak said.

“We have a long record of fighting tooth and nail to deliver cleaner, greener, and fairer outcomes for the people and environment of New South Wales.”

The NSW state election will be held on 25 March 2023.
