The bushland walking track through Gore Cove Reserve will be closed to the public until 26 May 2023 for a major upgrade.
This work forms part of a set of comprehensive improvements to the Gore Cove track between Shirley Road and Greendale Park, Wollstonecraft to deliver a safer, more enjoyable, and environmentally stable track surface.
Authorities recommend using alternate routes via Milray Avenue or Vista Street in Wollstonecraft for public safety.
This work is funded by the NSW Government through a grant awarded by the NSW Department of Lands in conjunction with North Sydney Council (Capital Works).
This combined funding will allow the construction of new track features as well as the replacement of aging track elements such as sleeper box steps; raised boardwalks; track edging; water-bars, and handrails.
The last mayor upgrade on the Gore Cove track was carried out in 2008.
