Enjoy free music, entertainment and fun community events this spring
Mosman Council’s Out & About this October has something for everyone in the family – even the dog! This series of free events will include a street party at Middle Head Road; a twilight concert at Balmoral; pets day out; and two family-friendly outdoor cinema screenings.

Out & About opening concert
Friday 18 October, 4pm to 8.30pm
Balmoral Reserve, The Esplanade
Settle back as the sun sets at Balmoral Beach for a twilight concert hosted by television news presenter Amber Sherlock. The popular Royal Australian Navy Band will perform a range of classic and current rock and pop hits, along with talented local schools and groups, including Beauty Point Public School, Dance First Academy, Groovin’ High, Imagination Dance, Middle Harbour Public School, Mosman Physie, Mosman Public School, Queenwood, Neutral Bay School of Dance and The Electrostatics from Sacred Heart Primary School.
Mosman Street Party
Saturday 19 October, 5pm to 8.30pm
Middle Head Road, Mosman
Bring your family and friends along to enjoy some fabulous music and delicious food. Hosted by journalist and author Jacinta Tynan, this free community event will feature a special performance by 2020 The Voice Australia finalist Masha Mnjoyan and live entertainment by Club Sol, Astrovan and Mosman’s own Groovin’ High. Tasty eats by Four Frogs Crêperie, The Buena and Penny’s Quality Butchers will be available. Children can enjoy activities by Cirkus Bizurkus including juggling, hula hooping, ribbon twirling and plate spinning.
The Mosman street party is funded by the NSW Government in association with Mosman Council.
Pets day out
Sunday 20 October, 10am-2pm
Mosman Square and Village Green
Bring your dog along to the pawrific pets day out at Mosman Square and Village Green.
Highlights include Dr Katrina Warren and the Wonderdogs show, Australian Wildlife and Kindifarm interactive animal displays, DOGA (yoga with your dog) by Rancan Sisters Fitness and the ‘face of Mosman Vet’ photo competition winners announcement.
There are plenty of prizes to be won with competitions including fur-fashion parade, cutest pet, egg and spoon, and ‘there’s no such thing as the dog poo fairy’ race.
Barbie by the Beach
Friday 25 October, 7pm to 9.30pm
Balmoral Reserve, The Esplanade
Turn beautiful Balmoral into Barbieland with pink outfits and big smiles. Be greeted by roller-skating and rodeo Barbie and Ken before enjoying an outdoor screening of Barbie, a fantasy comedy film about Barbie’s journey of empowerment and exploration. Bring blankets, your favourite movie snacks and unwind in a great setting under the stars. This event is a must for anyone wishing to sparkle up their evening.
Halloween cinema under the stars
Saturday 26 October, 7pm to 9.30pm
Mosman Village Green
Dress up in your Halloween best and gather your family and friends for a magical evening. Enter a world of wonder and nostalgia with an outdoor screening of the 1980s classic movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Experience the heartwarming adventure of Elliott and his extraterrestrial friend like never before, under the stars. Make sure to arrive early so you don’t miss out on the ‘magician with a spooky twist’ pre-screening show.
