Pet owners in the North Sydney area are urged to check the reserves and exclusion dates where fox baiting will take place.

From 24 April, the baiting program will start on the Balls Head Reserve in Waverton and Berry Island and Badangi Reserves in Wollstonecraft. Dogs are prohibited from entering these reserves until 9 June.
It is important that pets do not enter the reserves on this period as 1080 fox baits have been placed and are lethal to dogs and cats.

Fox baiting is a regionally coordinated program that reduces the impacts of fox predation on native wildlife inhabiting urban bushland.

A significant improvement has been seen in the sustainability and diversity of native wildlife occurring in remnant urban bushland across the region.
