Mona Vale swimmers took to Orange the food collected during their 2022 Christmas Party to help the flood victims in and around the area.
The group formed a relationship with Food Care set up in Orange two years ago when they to the Bush Fire victims. They also liaised with the Ukrainian church in Strathfield, for whom they collected new items of clothing, donated by the locals of Mona Vale, that were later taken to the church to be distributed to refugees from Ukraine.
The Mona Vale Swim Group and friends collected twice as much that was donated as two years ago, delivering a full trailer with non-perishable food and groceries.
They acknowledged all the people who donated and assisted in making the project a reality, with a special mention to Steve Waugh, Dave Goodrick and Donovan Callaghan who drove to Orange to deliver the food at Food Care.
