Five winners have been announced to share in prizes as part of the Express Yourself exhibition on show until 16 April at Manly Art Gallery and Museum (MAG&M).
Every year, Express Yourself unearths the best work from HSC students living on the Northern Beaches across twenty local high schools.
Hayley Bennett from The Forest High with ‘My latio dissonante vulgari’ (My Cacophony), and Charlotte Yan from NBSC – Freshwater Senior Campus with ‘Devolution’ were the two joint winners of the $5,000 Theo Batten Youth Art Award.
Josh Boehm from St Paul’s Catholic College with ‘Power of now’, Mia Hamill from NBSC – Freshwater Senior Campus with ‘The Joy of Dance’, and Jada Jones from Barrenjoey High School with her ‘For the Love of Pa’, were named the three artists to share the $3,000 prize money awarded by the Friends of MAG&M Youth Art Award.
