Nominations for the Northern Beaches Council Eco Awards are now open. This recognition celebrates ordinary people doing extraordinary things for the conservation of the environment and community members who have volunteered their time to enhance the local natural habitat.
Applications can be submitted for seven categories. Each of them reflects the area in which nominees had an outstanding contribution, showcasing care for bushland, waterways, coast, native animals, sustainable resources, or climate change.
The Individual Achievement category aims to acknowledge individuals that have demonstrated awareness of the environment and acted on environmental conservation. This category is divided into Youth, for young people between the ages of 16 and 25, and Lifetime, for those that have spent over 25 years of their time improving the environment on the Northern Beaches.
Eco Awards 2023 nominations close at 11.59pm on 7 May.
