For 45 years EarlyEd’s Cubby House Toy Library in Forestville has been supporting children and families across the Northern Beaches, and to celebrate the milestone, they will be holding a free community celebration event on Wednesday 16 July.

The Early Intervention for Children with disability service (EarlyEd) runs the toy library service, which provides economical and environmentally sustainable toy options for growing families with children of all abilities. It’s a place where the public can borrow a huge range of toys to suit any child’s developmental needs, ask for advice about their child’s development and connection to community services.

Independent Wakehurst MP Michael Regan will be attending the event, which will be held from 11am to 1pm at Cubby House Toy Library, located at the rear of the Forestville Senior Citizen’s Centre.

The event is also a celebration of the service receiving the Toy Libraries Australia 2025 Excellence Award for Inclusion and Diversity, acknowledging the way toy library volunteers, members, supporters and local councils have worked together to provide equity of access to play and learning to children.
