Northern Beaches Family Day Care is ranked in the top seven per cent of family day care providers in NSW. It was again officially rated as ‘Exceeding the National Quality Standard’ (NQS) under the National Quality Framework.
The NQS sets the national benchmark for the quality of children’s education and care services across Australia. The assessment of standards is measured against seven key areas including health and safety, education programs, relationships with children, and leadership.
An overall rating of ‘Exceeding’ is given only to services that go above and beyond the requirements of the standard.
The NQS assessment officer said, “Careful planning, reflective practice and willingness to collaborate with families, and other community organisations to enhance children’s learning and wellbeing, is what demonstrates the commitment to quality by educators at your service.”
For council, the achievement stands testament to the passion, professionalism and commitment of the teams taking quality care for children aged six weeks to 12 years old.
