Police are investigating after a building in North Sydney was vandalised on the 10 June early morning.
Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were called to Miller Street after a person damaged nine windows of the United States consulate with a hammer shortly after 3am. Graffiti was also painted on the door.
The incident is suspected to be a politically motivated act. Images taken by news channels from the scene showed several holes in the front window and triangles sprayed painted in red.
Police have sourced CCTV following a canvass of the area, which shows a person wearing a dark-coloured hoodie – with their face obscured – carrying what appears to be a small sledgehammer.
Police are appealing for anyone in the area about this time who saw the incident, or who has dashcam or information relevant to the investigation, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
