Christmas is fast approaching and it’s time to plan carol singing and gift shopping with our favourite places to celebrate.

ELANORA HEIGHTS VILLAGE CHRISTMAS MARKET

50 Kalong Road Sunday 26 November, 3pm to 7pm

Last year, Elanora Heights Village Christmas Market was so successful that they’re back again this year to help the community with some Christmas shopping.

The organisers are keeping the ‘insular peninsula’ theme following feedback after last year’s market, which means all stallholders are local.

So come and support your local vendors and creators. Have something to eat, buy a locally-made gift for that special person, and get into the festive spirit.

CHRISTMAS MARKETS

Lakeside Park, Narrabeen, Sunday 3 December, 8am to 2pm

The Northern Beaches Christmas Market will celebrate the community’s favourite small creative businesses, showcasing and selling beautiful products.

You will find gifts for everybody at the market, including handmade arts and crafts, exquisite jewellery, unusual accessories, and clothing you won’t find at a chain store.

All items on sale have been personally made, designed or created with love and will make unique gifts for your loved ones.

CAROLS AT THE BEACH

Avalon Beach Surf Club Saturday 9 December, from 4pm to 9pm

McGrath Pittwater Carols at the Beach event is back again this year hosted by Avalon Beach SLSC.

This fantastic event brings the community together for a glorious evening of joyful singing and Christmas celebration, and the night will end with an impressive fireworks display.

Come early and get dinner first at the market-style food fair and be entertained by local talent.

The singing starts at 6pm, and Santa will pay a special visit to ensure everyone is on ‘the good list’ in time for Christmas.

This free community event has been running since 2014 and attracts 3,500 yearly – so get there early for a good viewing spot.

PITTWATER CHRISTMAS MARKETS MONA VALE

Winnererremery Bay, Mona Street Saturday 9 December, 10am to 4 pm

This popular beachside market is the perfect place to do some Christmas shopping. You can pick up something for everyone in the family with an extensive range of gifts available.

You will find everything from fashion items to arts and crafts and plants. Some beautifully framed photographs will look good on any wall, and pets won’t be forgotten as you will find the perfect pooch gift.

Make Christmas extra special with gorgeous candles to add that atmospheric glow to any dining table. And you can take some pressure off Santa by picking up some toys for the kids.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS IN THE PARK

Mona Vale Village Park Saturday 9 December, 6.30pm to 9.30pm

The Rotary Club of Upper Northern Beaches runs this exciting family event in collaboration with Pittwater Uniting Church.

For 20 years, over 2,000 people have enjoyed a get together and some great music from a talented group of local entertainers and a sing-along to traditional Christmas tunes.

A visit from Santa in a fire truck will surely delight the little kids and those who are kids at heart.
