Officers attached to the Northern Beaches Police Area Command responded to a break-in call in Callory.
Neighbours of a unit on Ramsay St called the authorities at about 5.30pm on 28 July to report “two men” inside the unit.
Police attended to the scene and captured one of the men at the front door of the unit. The second man was found inside the home, “under a blanket” in a child’s bedroom.
Officers recovered jewellery and clothing.
The two men, aged 40 and 45, from “out of the area,” have been charged with aggravated break-in and property theft, and court appearances will follow.
No injuries were reported at the time of writing.
Police are reminding residents and the public to keep windows and doors locked at night or when leaving home.
