Willoughby Symphony Orchestra (WSO) has recently announced its spectacular 2026 season, which promises to be a vibrant celebration of cinematic sound, classical brilliance and Australian creativity.

In what will be its 60th year, the WSO, under the artistic leadership of Nicholas Milton, will dazzle with exhilarating concerts, unforgettable soloists and breathtaking repertoire. The 2026 program features five core main season concerts alongside a suite of special and family performances that will be held at The Concourse, Chatswood.

The season will kick off in February with Hollywood, a glittering tribute to the silver screen. British vocal sensation May Carewe joins the WSO for an electrifying selection of music from Star Wars, Frozen, Cabaret and more.

There will also be a range of special events and family concerts during 2026, with Last Night of the Proms in August; and Family Concert-Musical Pictures next July, introducing young audiences to the magic of orchestra.

Nicholas Milton says the line-up is very special. “This season is an explosion of colour, storytelling and symphonic wonder,” he says. “From the cinematic glamour of Hollywood to the timeless power of Mendelssohn and Saint-Saëns, we invite audiences to experience the energy and joy of orchestral music – live and in full flight.”
