Catherine Park, Scotland Island is an important community open space overlooking Pittwater. It is a unique site, valued for its environmental, social, and scenic qualities by locals and visitors.
To enhance the park, Northern Beaches Council is working on the ‘Catherine Park, Scotland Island – Draft Landscape Improvements Plan’, open for public commentary until 29 January 2023.
This plan has been developed in response to operation and aesthetic issues of the park and aims to identify future works that will resolve them according to the current and future needs of the community.
Some of the objectives are to improve the arrival experience to Catherine Park, improve pedestrian connections, enhancing existing foreshore and open grassed areas to cater recreational activities and community events, among others.
Community feedback is fundamental and will help to better understand what is important to the park’s users. For more information and to have your say, visit the Council’s website.
