A new boardwalk that now links Taronga Zoo wharf and the Bondi to Manly walk has officially opened at Bradleys Head.

Built from sustainable elements, the boardwalk features 100 recycled tyres used in the footpaths permeable paving and concrete path which was made from low carbon concrete.

The works, which were funded by the NSW Public Spaces Legacy Program together with Mosman council, also features specially commissioned artwork including lighting and steel sculptures by award-winning Indigenous artist, Maddison Gibbs.

Gibbs’ featured artworks represent spirit figures caring for the land and sea.

Mosman Mayor Carolyn Corrigan and Member for North Shore Felicity Wilson MP officially opened the new board last week, which has now filled in the missing link between the two locations.
