The final concept designs for Berrys Bay have been revealed and are now open for community consultation on Transport for NSW website.

North Shore MP Felicity Wilson encouraged the community to review and comment on the final designs for a reimagined Berrys Bay, following her many years of advocacy alongside the community for this transformation into a public harbourside parkland.

“This stunning harbourfront location has been neglected for far too long. With masterplans now in motion and work soon to commence, the community will be able to enjoy revitalised parklands that truly celebrate the beauty and history of Berrys Bay,” Ms Wilson said.

“The proposed parklands will include accessible foreshore pathways ideal for walking, jogging, or simply taking in the breathtaking harbour views.”

“A new playground as well as picnic areas with barbecues will provide perfect spots for family gatherings and community events. Native landscaping will enhance the environment, creating a peaceful and inviting oasis for all to enjoy.”

Central to the renewal is the heritage interpretation of Woodleys Shed into a new pavilion designed to host events, markets, and local activities establishing Berrys Bay as a dynamic hub for our neighbourhood.

The vision for Berrys Bay includes accessible foreshore pathways linking key community precincts, preservation and celebration of the site’s maritime legacy, including the historic Woodleys Shed and family-friendly amenities such as playgrounds, picnic, and barbecue areas. Native landscaping and public artworks will enhance the natural beauty of the environment, and a community pavilion aims to host events and markets. A new slipway for watercraft and community kayak storage facilities are also planned.
