The Humpty Dumpty Balmoral Burn family came together on 21 March at Bathers Pavilion’s Balmoral Room to welcome new and returning corporate sponsors to one of Australia’s premier outdoor charity events.

Corporate Australia’s finest came together for this unique race that challenges participants and corporations to raise money for vital medical equipment for sick kids in hospital.  In addition to the Burn’s impressive corporate sponsor gathering, the launch event also brought together supporters from across the community including schools, local groups plus valued suppliers and ambassadors.

Hosted by Australian TV sports presenter Nick McArdle, the evening included heartfelt and passionate speeches from both Humpty Dumpty Foundation founder and chairman Paul Francis, as well as Humpty Dumpty Foundation chief executive officer and managing director Claire Reaney.

Wallaby great and Humpty Dumpty Balmoral Burn Ambassador Phil Kearns, who created the annual event 22 years ago, offered his top tips to corporate event newcomers in the room. “It is only 420m…forget the bit about it being uphill!” he joked.

During his speech, Phil also announced a new industry race category for the telecommunications sector.  Other industry category races including banking, finance and professional services, building and construction and the motor industry.
