Mosman council has announced it will install two additional electric vehicle (EV) charging networks on the North Shore.
The expansion comes after the existing EV charger at Mosman Square clocked up a record 100 charging hours in August, making a major milestone by saving a total of 30,000 kilograms of CO2 emissions since December 2020.
Council has confirmed the additional EV chargers will help cater for the expected significant growth in the use of chargers as more motorists gradually move to electric vehicles in coming years.
It is understood Mosman council energy is already being supplied by renewable sources as part of a deal secured along with 24 other participating councils.
